Reposted with permission from Razorleaf Corp.
TAKE NOTICE 3DEXPERIENCE USERS!
The certificate for many 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher installations are due to expire April 19, 2020.
The 3DEXPERIENCE launcher runs in the background on client machines of on-premises deployments of 3DEXPERIENCE. Cloud users are not affected by this issue. The launcher allows users to launch rich client applications from the web browser. This bulletin is intended to assist companies in understanding if their certificate is about to expire as well as how to update their launcher so that it continues to work after the expiration date.
The current 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher version 19.45.2834 (or lower versions) contains an external certificate with expiration date 19-Apr-2020. To check the Launcher version, click the Show hidden icons arrow (on windows taskbar). Right-click on the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher icon > About.
1) Upgrade to the latest 3DEXPERIENCE FixPack.
Dassault Systèmes has updated the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher certificate in the most recent FixPack’s of the following 3DEXPERIENCE Releases:
3DEXPERIENCE R2017x FP2008
3DEXPERIENCE R2018x FP2003
3DEXPERIENCE R2019x FP2005
3DEXPERIENCE R2020x FP2007
3DEXPERIENCE R2021x GA
Deployment of these FixPack’s will imply deployment of new 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher version 20.2.2283 that will have an updated certificate with new expiration date.
2) Update the launcher version only.
For customers who are not ready to upgrade the 3DEXPERIENCE platform with these FixPack’s, you can install the Launcher sent with this bulletin. The installation will need to be installed on each client machine.
