Alcove9 Search Based Application for Engineering

Alcove9 is a Search-based Application (SBA) for Engineering organizations who do not employ PDM or PLM today.

Alcove9 uses a simple and recognizable Google like search data. I’ll show you that here in the the demo. Now before I do that I want to go over some basic premises of our solution. The data that you’re dealing with on a daily basis it could be anywhere within the development cycle of your product. It could be in the requirements, it could be in the design stage, it could be in the sourcing, in the manufacturing and building, or even after the building in the support stage. And throughout that lifecycle of the product development you probably hit multible silos of data. It could be the requirment management, it could be some ERP, some kind of MRO, lifecycle management systems, etc. All of these are proprietary databases. Or it could be like that last part on the very bottom. Maybe you do not have proprietary databases and you put everything in some kind of shared network that everybody hits at any moment, which then becomes actually a bit more complicated.
