Simulation in Action: Fatigue Analysis on Earthmoving Equipment

In October, Wayne Tanner gave a presentation at the fe-safe User Group Meeting that outlined the process of developing loads and performing fatigue analysis for earthmoving equipment. In this presentation, we will walk through setting up the Finite Element Model (FEM), applying loads, measuring strain data from test, then using True-Load to calculate the time-history of loading for the complete structure for each event. Once the Duty Cycle is developed, fe-safe was then used to perform the fatigue analysis.
